Coleman Engineering is responsible for operating, maintaining, repairing, testing and monitoring the Castlewood County Service Areas (CSA) domestic water/fire flow system and wastewater collection system in Pleasanton, CA. The domestic water/fire flow system consists of approximately 30,000 linear feet of water mains, including buried valves and fittings, forty-eight (48) fire hydrants and assemblies, pump stations and three (3) storage tanks. The domestic water is provided by the City and County of San Francisco. The CSA boundaries encompass a golf club building and facilities, two (2) 18-hole golf course, and over 200 home sites.
Coleman is responsible for responding to and making emergency repairs at any time, twenty-four (24) hours a day, seven (7) days a week, and three hundred and sixty-five (365) days a year. Typical services include inspecting pump and sites, flush mains as needed, routine maintenance of fire hydrants, collecting water sample as required by the California Department of Health, routine maintenance, and operational duties.
Coleman also provides meter reading services and billing services for the County. Coleman also performs special work with the County that is billed on a Time and Materials (T&M) basis. This can include special projects that are approved by the County. The facility is classified by the state as a D2 facility.
