Red Hawk Casino Wastewater Treatment Plant Operations Services
Project Overview
Coleman Engineering is retained by Red Hawk Casino to provide 24-hour wastewater operations services. The wastewater plant is designed as a 0.25 MGD membrane bio-reactor (MBR) facility, utilizing Kubota membranes, that produces effluent that meets Title 22 standards.
Effluent is used for toilet flushing, landscape irrigation, and leachfield/sprayfield disposal. An on-site belt press system is utilized for sludge processing and disposal. This facility is not under a waste discharge or NPDES permit but has been operated as it is under a permit in order to maintain consistency with other permitted facilities, as well as in the event that a permit was required in the future.
The potable water for the facility is provided by El Dorado Irrigation District and consists of a 0.50 MG potable water storage tank, booster pump station, fire flow booster station and the capability of treating with sodium hypochlorite for disinfection if needed. This facility reporting consists of compliance sampling/reporting required by the EPA. A local laboratory, CLS, provides all lab testing of the samples collected at the facility.
